Thanks for this article Paul Bromley. I wasn’t shocked or dismayed at all by Larry’s use of the word. In a way, it was none of my business being an old, middle-class (barely) woman. I never use it. Have never used it, but have been around plenty of people who did. I’m even related to some of them.

I thought Larry was great. He and Obama both made me feel proud to be an American for that time. I’m going to miss Obama so much, but at least we get to live in his legacy to the USA. He raised up and exposed us all to a part of our culture that had been kept low. He brought out the shine. Now, we just have to keep it going.
