Nintendo has postponed its Direct presentation due to a major earthquake in Japan.
The Nintendo Direct was scheduled for Thursday night but has been pushed forward to a later time.
The reason for this is an earthquake on the Japanese island of Hokkaido, Nintendo writes on their Twitter account.
“Due to the powerful earthquake in Hokkaido, Japan, we have decided to delay this week’s planned Nintendo Direct. We will provide a new time and date in the near future. Thank you for your understanding.”
This week, at least two people were killed by the earthquake. 120 people were injured.
The Direct was dedicated to upcoming new games for the Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo 3DS. It is yet unknown when the Direct will be released.
