In this episode, we wanted to take a different approach to talking about breakups. Yes, breaking up with someone usually sucks, and yes, there are ways to get over a breakup, but we wanted to talk about why breakups hurt so much. Things start and end all the time in our lives. Friendships, jobs, where we live, etc., so why is it that end of romantic relationships has the potential to hurt so much?

Let’s be real, the end of a relationship hurts everyone in a different way, but there are some ways it hurts us all: Whether it’s feeling like the loss of a friendship, or feeling like you’ve lost a battle, or just feeling like a failure, we all hurt in breakups. We get into the ways in which breakups hurt us, why my own commitment issues steam from a fear of breakup pain, how love is a battlefield, and more in this, very special episode of the Tao of Indifference podcast.
