Hehehe, as a Dutch Tax-payer… I tell you, it’s an expensive system, but nobody questions the need for it. We either pay our water-board taxes (waterschap) or we have no country, homes, economy, well being. This threat has shaped this country and cultural norms. Gladly, the Dutch society is wealthy enough to be able to afford such a complex project.
