this is really excellent, it is a message that is not repeated enough. As a dad and grandfather I grind my teeth everyday at TV and movie representations of dads as lazy, clumsy, clueless etc. Being a dad is hard your first duty is not necessarily to be the kids friend and that can be very tough.
My son figured out early that if he could get my wife and I arguing over something he did he essentially skated because the problem wasn’t what he did any longer it was our problem of not being unified. It had predictable results.
A long time ago someone ( my dad) said to me “boys learn to be men by watching other men” and that is so true. If the most powerful form of communication is delivering a message denigrating men then boys will learn to not value themselves and they will become angry. We are handicapping a whole generation of people because of the lack of positive male role models and that is real shame.
