A Day in the Life of John Ku, Senior Optimisator, iProspect Taiwan
The continuation of our people profiling column, ‘A Day in the Life’, sees John Ku, Senior Optimisator of iProspect Taiwan share what a day is like for him. John gives us a peek into a special day celebrated in the Taiwan office — ‘Family Day’, and shows us what typically goes on in the iProspect Taiwan family.
Good morning! Today is a regular sunny Wednesday and as usual, I try to come in to the office early today. Why, you may ask? It is because Wednesday is Family Day for the Taipei office, and on this day, we can leave as early as 5:30pm if we complete our work. So breakfast in one hand fresh coffee in another, I am ready to take on today’s challenges and assignments!
This is the entrance of the Taipei Office. They say early bird gets the worm, but I prefer coffee :)
This is the area where my team — the Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) team, is located. We call this the ‘Green Rock and Roll’ zone, because we usually work all day and all night — 24/7, non-stop! Jokes aside, this cozy area houses the Client Service, Data, and SEO team. There is no one around when I took this photo, but this is actually the most energetic area in the Taipei office.
I spend a lot of my day working on website optimisation and traffic analysis, and when I run into problems and need a second opinion, I am very fortunate to be able to count on my trusty team members. Don’t let the picture fool you — under that cool and professional look, we are very fun and energetic! The people pictured here are Mark, William and Patty (with me taking the photograph). Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you: the Taipei Office SEO Team.
On the other side of the Green Rock and Roll Zone, the managers are having a quick standing discussion, which is quite common here. I am positive the topic of discussion here is on how to help Taipei iProspectors leave early or on time on Family Day. I am so happy to see our managers caring so much about us!
The only person you need to know from this picture is the lady on far right — she is Carrie Tsai, Managing Director of iProspect Taiwan!
After a hard day’s work, we successfully evacuated everyone by nightfall. It was no easy feat, but we did it! We are about to switch off the last light and proceed to enjoy our Family Day nights out. This is John from iProspect Taiwan, signing off! See you all later!
