RACING WITH THE CLOCK

Last week I had to read more than a thousand pages for an exam, time was rushing. I read and read but I was not even reaching the quarter. The only question I had in my head was "shall i finish the damn thousand pages before the day of exam?". It seems like I was racing with the clock.

That’s life for most of us in this 21st century, always rushing to be on time. By dint of hurrying with the clock we become washed up and can’t make any further step. In spite of that ,the clock never stops, it goes on… counting seconds, counting minutes, counting hours until 24 are completed to make a day. Then the cycle repeats over and over.

We are every time struggling to follow the rhythm of the Clock, be that as it may ,we have our own rhythm, our body has a kind of clock in it.

The human body follows the solar/lunar adaptations known as biological clocks. This biological clock follows the main rhythm known as circadian rhythms which are biological events that constantly repeat in a 24 hour period. We have hormones and other systems in our body that go through this daily cycle as well.

Stress Causes our internal rhythms to lose synchronicity. Stress leads to weakness, illness and injuries by breaking down the immune system. Other physical and physiological factors like temperature, vibration, irregular sleep and eating, alcohol, nicotine and caffeine, work pressure and frustration all has a negative effect on our circadian rhythms.

Let’s get an internal rhythm aligned with the external environment,, this will give us the best quality of life.

With or without the watch I always carry on my wrist , I have Got a rhythm...I have a clock in me.
