The Brand Question

What brand of air conditioning equipment should I buy?
A common question we get is, “what type of brand do you carry?” “I saw a commercial for XYZ and that is the kind I want in my house.”
Let me tell you a secret when it comes to the brand of equipment. Are you ready? It is all basically the same material. What you should be concerned with is who is installing your equipment.
There are only a few manufacturers of the equipment and even fewer companies that make the parts for those equipment brands. The compressor, circuit boards, switches, and thermostats are only made by a few different companies. So, with all things similar, what should you be looking for?
The most important day in the life of your equipment is the day it is installed. It doesn’t matter if your equipment has the best technology on the market, if it is not installed to specifications then that system is doomed from day one. Find a contractor who has an established history of excellence and will respond and stand behind the equipment that they install.
Worry about the installation contractor and less about the brand installed.
