I do “nothing”

Every time I think about it, I do nothing. And that’s how it goes. Fortunately, I love mistakes and doing nothing is probably my biggest one.

I don’t know who you are, what are you doing right now or what you are working on. And considering that my opinion isn’t worth it right now, I don’t care if I make a new mistake bothering you and expressing myself so as to get this sh*t out. I’m glad you are here to hear me.

First of all, I should apologize for my English. It’s obvious that it’s not my native language. I’m a guy from that place called Spain, a place in the south of Europe where a lot of people come to drink and eat paella. Not bad, at least they do something.

But, let’s get down to business (if there’s any) . Though this might seem to be a depressing post or something like that, it’s not at all. I take this as an anthem for those ideas, dreams and side projects that have been forgotten or put aside in our minds. Those obsessions, in some cases, that have driven us to nothing. But… is that nothing real? Yeah, kind of philosophical. Hate me now. I also have a big beard. Jokes aside, I’ll ask you all this question: Would you be the same if you hadn’t been driven to that nothing? I’d dare to say that your answer is NO.

But, what does “nothing” mean? I looked it up in the dictionary for a simple definition and here’s what I got:

“No thing; not anything; naught”.

Doesn’t this show how difficult is to define “nothing”? The definition says “nothing” itself. The context of nothing, then, means everything.

When I realise that I’m writing this first post I can barely believe it. I also think how contradictory my mind can be, but, anyway, it’s one of the best feelings I’ve had in a long time. And that’s because sometimes our goals are too far away to be reached in a short period of time. Every step seems to be more nothing. We get so frustrated that, when we are fed up with falling in the same hole again and again, we need a break from ourselves. And then, a simple post like this can turn nothing into something. Something real, something that can be felt and perceived, something that is made by us.

The purpose of this post is to forge a path where everybody that follows can get rid of our famous allies. Fears, “Imposter Syndrome”, procrastination…. Yeah, and I said allies, because it’s wrong to consider them our enemies.

Once a friend told me:

“You have EVERYTHING! The only problem is that you are your own worst enemy. You are the only capable of destroying yourself”

Do not forget it. As soon as you manage to put pen to paper, you will be beating up your own worst enemy.

Your first mistake is your first step to success. Start practicing “Fearless Driven Development” in all areas of your life. “Nothing” will never be the same again.

And that’s all for today folks! Thank you for giving me a chance. I hope this helps somebody out there. I also want to thank @mijustin and megamaker.co for inspiring me to do this.
