Thanks for dropping by. This website / blog is a personal project, to inspire myself and to be able to, hopefully, build a community and a set of shared conversations about design leadership.

About me:

I lead the Experience Innovation Lab at Tata Digital. Prior to that, I served as Chief Design Officer and Executive team member at Fractal.ai. At Fractal, I helped build a capability and team of 75+ Design & Behavioral Science specialists working at the intersection of data science and design. Over the last 25 years, I have been in design and innovation leadership roles across companies like IDEO, Fractal.ai, Dr. Reddy’s, Kantar, GE Healthcare and Sapient. I began my career in Interaction design, transitioned into Design research & Strategy, and over the last decade, have been instrumental in setting up and establishing strategic design capabilities & culture in several organizations. Prior to Fractal.ai, I set up and led Studio 5B (a design thinking & innovation Centre) at Dr Reddy’s, a leading pharmaceutical company. Studio 5B pioneered several opportunities & ideas across the pharma and healthcare landscape in the US, India, Russia, and Colombia – from digital health solutions for smoking cessation, to packaging to help in medication adherence, to service innovation for breast cancer patients & caregivers. Studio 5B was also instrumental in driving a culture of patient-centricity and innovation at Dr. Reddy’s. Some of the work I led is now a featured case study in IDEO U’s course on Designing for Change. I am passionate about mindfulness and the ‘art of stillness.’ At the end of each year, I publish a toolkit for applying Mindfulness and Design Thinking principles for personal reflections on the year that went past, and to create a vision for the year ahead.
