Specialise or generalise?

To be a skilful designer you have to embrace change. Cause whether you like it or not, it’s coming! The market is changing by the day. You can drill deep on something for a while, but be prepared to pivot if the market changes. Change is inevitable, but progress is a choice. Referring to the age old ‘T’ example, you must go really deep in a single subject but know shallow amounts of everything else. If you know a little bit of everything, it helps feed the result of your design. Try and specialise externally, but internally work on generalising. The outside world needs you to focus, but as an individual, you need to emerge in different directions.
