99% Invisible

99% Invisible is about all the thought that goes into the things we don’t think about — the unnoticed architecture and design that shape our world. Episodes stretch across a vast array of topics, from Eames-designed cardboard cities for kids, to tracking and abating mosquitos, to mapping ski area topography.

Design Tomorrow

Design Tomorrow, created by designer Christopher Butler, is a podcast about design, technology, and being human. Butler places a special emphasis on growing our awareness so that the things we do and think today can create a better tomorrow. Recent episodes include a rant on how A.I. isn’t that I, and a look at the beautiful lost world of Automats.

NTMY

NTMY — Nice to Meet You — is hosted by German-born, Austrian-raised, NYC-based designer Tobias van Schneider. NTMY is a personal conversation-based podcast with a focus on “makers, builders & no bullshitters.” Recent episodes take deep dives with French illustrator Malika Favre and the self-proclaimed “Queen of Shitty Robots” herself, Simone Giertz.

Design Matters

A groundbreaking podcast about design and an inquiry into the broader world of creative culture. Host Debbie Millman takes her guests through wide-ranging conversations about design, writing, art, curation, music, and more. Recent episodes feature author Roxane Gay and street artist Cey Adams.

This is HCD

The Human Centered Design website curates content that offers a rounded and representative voice of the design industry. Design Better

Each season of Design Better features guest hosts who are leaders in their fields of design. Season 3 dives into the connected workflow: how designers work more effectively and efficiently with their engineering and product counterparts.

NPR’s How I Built This with Guy Raz

Guy Raz delves into the stories behind some of the world’s best known companies. How I Built This weaves a narrative journey about innovators, entrepreneurs and idealists, and the movements they built. One recent episode explores the history of James Dyson and how his vacuum dreams came true.

Voice of Design

Voice of Design has conversations about design with guests. It’s hosted by Larisa Berger, Erika Hall, and Mike Monteiro. Check out episode 13 titled “Funny, you don’t LOOK like designers,” whereby the hosts are joined in the studio by David Dylan Thomas to talk about cognitive bias.

The Drunken UX Podcast

Michael Fienen and Aaron Hill look at issues that face websites, and talk with developers who impact the way we all use the web. In the process, they drink tasty drinks.

UI Breakfast

UI/UX design, products, marketing, and so much more. Guests are industry experts who share actionable knowledge so that you can apply it in your business today. No topic is off the breakfast table.

Apple’s Beyond Users

Beyond Users is a podcast that “teaches business to designers.” Recent episodes are titled “Why having money in the bank is not just sexy but healthy” and “why paid time is the biggest problem of the creative industry.”
