Guide to Poznań

While Poznań is not often the first city on travelers’ map, it’s defiantly worth a visit. Poznan is crowded with beautiful churches, cobblestone streets, old square market stuffed with historical monuments, museums, art galleries, restaurants and bars. Poznan is a major cultural and economic center due to it’s convenient location between the road from Paris to Moscow.

There are so many things to see while in Poznan but I believe you can see most of it in 2 days with my specially curated guide.

Getting to Poznań:

Poznan is easy to get to, you can fly directly to Poznan from many European cities. Cheap airlines like Ryan Air offer flights from $89 from London’s Gatwick to Poznan’s airport. If you’re already in Poland you can reach Poznan by taking a train or a bus.

Where to stay:

It depends on your preferences. There are many options to choose from. My favorite hotel is City Solei Boutique Hotel centrally located, with prices starting at $50 per night.

Places to visit:

1) Old Market Square (Stary Rynek) is filled with colorful and charming architecture of the buildings comprising the Old Market Square. Lots of options for food and drink, but also a good place just to people watch and enjoy the fresh air. It’s so central to many of Poznan’s attractions like Poznan’s Town Hall with its famous Goat Clock, so you might pass through it many times during your stay.

2) Stary Browar (Old Brewery), the center of arts and commerce located in the heart of Poznan. This old brewery is a mix of art gallery and retail spaces. It has over 200 retail stores and restaurants. I highly recommend stopping at Weranda for lunch. The food is delicious plus it has very cool design.
