Poems from a freak 15 year old

I recently cleaned up some old storage boxes and found some poems I wrote in 2001 when I was 15. I wanted to share! Back then I went by Josh Brown and had a really hard time making friends for some reason… ;)

The Lobster

I woke up late last night,
and I saw the great big light.
The light i saw was far away,
as it came closer I began to pray.

It turns out it was not a light,
but a flying saucer that was really bright.
The saucer stopped right in front of my house,
It turned out to be as big as a mouse.

A door opened in the saucer,
and then I saw a tiny lobster.
I had the choice and so I leaked,
but the lobster really reeked.

So I shut my eyes to go back to bed,
and the tiny lobster left a bar of lead.
The next day I woke up at 12am,
and it started all over again.

If only I was a Gymnast

If only I was a gymnast
I would be Mr. Fitness
People would say I was a bunny
and all the guys would think I was funny
They would sit and laugh at me
and I’d be meaner then Muhammad Ali
I would float like a butterfly
and sting like a bee.

While all the judges give me tens
I’d buy a house for my friends
All the magazines would take a picture
then I would be a billion times richer
So now you know if I were a gymnast I would be Mr. Fitness

I only fixed a couple spelling errors when posting this and eventually I did find a real best friend. Now i am 30, married, and have 3 kids. I think these poems can be better! Let me know your suggestions and If you have any embarrassing school work please share back!

Remember the past is the past. No matter how much you were a freak as a kid, there is someone out there for you. I am always here to be a friend too if you have to scrape the bottom of the barrel. :) Much love.
