In an effort to free all the words that seem to endless be spilling out currently, I’ve endeavored on 31 days of poetry for the month of December giving myself 20 minutes per day. And the writing prompt list was found on Pinterest. I choose to write with my right hand then switch to the left and occasionally back to the right; this transition is indicated by ::::::: breaks.

LOOK TO THE PAST

To honor how
far you’ve come
the lessons learned
the attachments
released
the freedom gained
the expansion
and evolution
of time

You’ve changed
my dear
in way so
big!
and so
small
some imperceptible
at this time

Oh to be of
flesh
to choose to
incarnate here
on earth

In this wild
animal realm
where feelings
flow endlessly

The senses
captivate
distract
distort
and
guide
soothe
heal

Fully embracing
it all is no
small feat
for you are
a warrior of
the light
you are a
blue ray
starseed
you are
divinity
encapsulated
in form

And there
is so much
more to
create
and do
and try
and be

For this -
each
moment -
is just the beginning

A re-birth -
a birth
a cataclysmic
moment
in time

For it is
unending
as are you
through the
expression of
you in energy
and physical form
is always

In transition
the stability,
the security
the stillness
lies in the
now

Right here
in that nearly
imperceptible
pause —
find the
audacity to
spend as
much time
there as possible
for that is
where your
fulfillment lies

:::::::

Lovingly
and forgive
yourself
and others
for transgressions
on yourself
and towards/on
other

Especially
forgive your
aptitude
for treating
yourself as
other

This
misconception
will hold you
in the past
and in the
future
it keeps
you from
living in
the now
from truly
experiencing
this life in
it’s fullest
expansive
form

That past version
of yourself lives
within you
now
how much
power and
attention
energy are
you giving
them

Accept and
allow and
revere that
version as
your current
version to
integrate
and embody
the lessons
that were
learned
so as to
create
the next true
version

For we can
only build
upon what
we have
with love
for when
done in
fear of
what
transpired
in the past
keeps us
re-living
the past
ruminating
frozen
in time

So when the
seasons change
the calendar
turns the
marks of time
are realized
you too
move

And what you
move towards
is that future
version of
yourself
that too
already exists
within you

Listen closely,
to how they
want to ive
for those are
the messages
of what needs
to change now
get intimate
and deeply
acquainted
with this
self so as
to reconcile the
past and the
future
and bring
the balance
into the
present

For you are
an alchemist
and every
glimmer of
hope from
the future
is already
yours
it simply
exists in a
different
form that’s
revelation
when met
with reverence
can be
reconciled and
infused with
energy
with
love
and reclaimed
as it’s purest
form
which
empowers us
to continue
our work

Of living
of being here
of playing
of exploring
of manifesting
