That’s a good point, in theory. But in practice, with the glut of people who can level informed opinions on all kinds of issues, and the scarcity of airtime to share those opinions, your argument fails to address the central question of why Barkley, of all people, gets to have a platform. “Because he’s a famous athlete” is not a good reason.
