Dexter is almost done with building the base at Persistence. But before the grand unveiling of the base, Dexter wants to ensure a highly refined experience is delivered and invites Cosmonauts to test out its base.

Dexter is throwing a party at Persistence testnet. Join in for the Rave Testnet starting 27th Feb.

A Hitchhiker’s Guide to Dexter’s base

Dexter is the Interchain DEX for Yield-Generating Assets, supporting liquid staked assets and interest-bearing tokens in DeFi.

By supporting liquid-staked assets issued on Persistence and assets from other liquid staking zones such as Stride and Quicksilver, Dexter will become the liquidity hub for liquid staking derivatives in the Interchain.

Dexter v1 would support the following pool types.

  • Weighted Pools — Inspired by Balancer
  • Stableswap Invariant — Inspired by Curve
  • Stable 3/5 Pool — This adaptation of the popular stablecoin pool from Curve can support 3 to 5 assets.

Enter the Rave

The Rave incentivized testnet aims to encourage users to test the platform before the mainnet launch.

Dexter invites traders and liquidity providers to try out the platform to get feedback from the community and deliver the most seamless DEX experience.

The testnet would be live for one week, starting 27th Feb. Users would be eligible for rewards from an 8000 XPRT (~$4000) prize pool based on their contribution during the testnet.

The testnet would feature the following pools -

  • stkATOM/ATOM — Stableswap
  • ATOM/XPRT — Weighted Pool

Users can try out the following features -

  • Swapping Assets
  • Liquidity Provision
  • Add/ Withdraw Assets
  • Bonding/Unbonding tokens

Users can find details on connecting to the faucet and acquiring testnet tokens in the testnet guides, which will be released soon.

All participants are encouraged to join the conversation on the #testnet-feedback channel on discord.

The Rave Testnet is divided into two acts — Bliss and Nirvana.

Act 1 — Bliss — 4000 XPRT in Rewards

Users are encouraged to explore, play around with the platform, and try different actions to get “Rep” points at the base.

For example, swapping a particular asset into another might give you 10 Rep points 😉

Users can see their “Rep” scores on the testnet dashboard and the leaderboard with the top 20 contenders. The leaderboard would be created based on various factors on a user’s activity on the platform.

The top 20 addresses on the leaderboard would receive 200 XPRT (~$100) each.

Dexter has also hidden a few surprises; look for hints on Twitter to gain more “Rep” and make your way up the leaderboard.

Look for the leaderboard section on the upcoming Dexter docs for more information.

Act 2 — Nirvana — 4000 XPRT in rewards

The second part of the testnet would focus on active feedback and bug reporting from the community.

Users can report bugs in the functionality and the UI of the platform.

Users can submit their responses, screenshots, and other details on the form on the #bug-reports channel on discord.

The team will grade each response based on the bug’s impact and the report’s clarity, and all accepted responses will be displayed on the #bug-reports channel on Discord.

The top 20 entries, based on the quality of the submission, will be rewarded with 200 XPRT (~$100) each.

A guide on submitting bug reports can be found on docs, which will be released soon.

Conclusion

The Rave Testnet would ensure a smooth launch for Dexter as we inch closer to kickstarting DeFi on the Persistence Core-1 chain.

Dexter looks forward to you in the rave bash as it prepares for the grand unveiling of its base soon.
