This year will be remembered for the rise of new creative and innovative Promotional Strategies. Gone are the days, when Big Brands used to invest on Television, Newspapers and Hoardings, and 70 % of their promotional work was done. The customer is evolving, they are more online than offline, they more on their Mobiles than on Television, they are accumulating more news from Social Media than through Newspapers. Hence, it is important to promote in a way that it becomes part of their daily lives rather than imposing it on them.

The T-Rex Google Chrome Game turned into the biggest promotional tool for Jurassic World.So, for one week, whenever you were not able to connect with the Internet, and ended up playing the T-Rex Google Chrome Game, there was a constant reminder that Jurassic World is coming in Cinemas on 12th June,2016.

For all the Star Wars Fan like me, Star Wars is not just a movie but a legacy that has been passed on from generations to generations.Understanding the importance of the Series, Google asked all the Star Wars Fans as well as Newbie’s to Choose-a-Side. Once the side is selected the complete google experience changes based on the side you choose, be it your Applications or Mails or Youtube or even the Calendar, every day they remind you of your allegiance.
Honestly, I haven’t seen a better promotional Campaign then this one.
Alien Spaceship following you on Google Maps
Okay Okay ! Star Wars has already done this, and have converted your navigation experience into a Star Wars experience. But being a Marketer, I like ideating and innovating new things, which have never been tested and tried before. Hence, since the time, we saw the trailer of Independence Day Resurgence, I had this idea of converting Google Maps into Independence Day Resurgence Experience. How cool will it be ? If our vehicles converted into Alien Spaceship, whenever we navigate to new destination.How crazy will it be ? If we turned into Aliens while selecting walking option on Google Maps.
In coming future, we would see rise of more such Creative and Innovative Marketing Strategies. For Brands, it will be about being part of Customer’s Daily Life.
