#MyHomescreen

You can learn a lot about a person based on what apps they have on their homescreen. What apps do they use? Are they on social media? Do they read the news? What’s their background image? Is it of them, or something they love?

I’m gonna share my homescreen, maybe you’ll learn a bit about me. Oh yeah — and I wanna share what I think about the apps I use.

Boom! Here it is. Oh yea…and my thoughts. From the bottom up.

The Apple Apps

We start with the core four. The basics functions of iPhone — or really any smartphone. Phone. Email. Browser. Music.

I’m not a fan of changing those up..just looks wrong.

Waze — if you’re driving anywhere, this is a must! Just beware of the really creepy voice languages they have. Makes for a really interesting drive…I promise.

Twitter — For all things now. Underrated, Twitter provides the best form of customer service. (Go check out my Tweets @ DavidHerskowitz) I have a friend that says that Twitter is too difficult to navigate. Thoughts?

LinkedIn — not really sure how to explain this one…is it the Facebook for business…not sure. Anyways, if you’re looking to get yourself in the door with the company of your dreams, then LinkedIn is a must. I’ll write on that soon.

Soulcycle — Yes, I go to Soulcycle. Gonna hate? Go try it. #NuffSaid

Instagram — where everyone thinks they are a pro-photographer. I like to share moments. (does that even make sense?) And I like to accompany my posts with a one word caption. Cool. Great app. Great fun.

Snapchat — storytelling for the modern age. I love Snapchat. Follow my story. Oh — adding people on a social network is NOT a big deal…post on that coming up!

Facebook — what people mean when they say, “Stay in touch!” Here’s where I keep up with people’s lives.

Bloomberg Business — Some great reading material here, but the real reason its on my homescreen is because a buddy of mine was hating on the app that used to be there. You know who you are!

Day One — This is where I organize my thoughts. Don’t worry…i’ll still share the good ones on here!

Simple — the best mobile banking experience ever. The app is beautiful and does everything I need (sometimes). The goals feature is amazing! Great work.

WhatsApp — best for group chats and for international-ing. Yes, I just said that. Wanna text people overseas, or vice versa, use WhatsApp. Great job with WhatsApp web. Note: I also love iMessage.

Chase — for the “sometimes” that Simple doesn’t come through.

Uber — an essential if you want to go anywhere, ever! Got a lot of great stories from Uber rides..will be sharing them in the future. Gotta say…I’m not feeling the new design. Sorry Uber. I still love you though!

Finally — the classics. No need to go in depth here.

What’d you think? Peace.
