INTRODUCTION:

It is common knowledge that the human heart pumps blood through the vessels to the circulatory system. What is not common are the statutory functions invisible to the human eye. Among which is consciousness of acts and deeds. The heart is equally the central point where love and hate emancipates. It resonates a positive rhythm in acknowledgement of good actions by the body. While it receives a chilling negative vibe deep down to confirm when it’s wronged the soul. This is the nature with which Allah moulded the hearts of mankind.

INSPIRATION:

On the authority of Abu 'Abdullah al-Nu’man bin Bashir, radiyallahu 'anhu, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, sallallahu 'alayhi wasallam, say:

"Truly, what is lawful is evident, and what is unlawful is evident, and in

between the two are matters which are doubtful which many people do not

know. He who guards against doubtful things keeps his religion and honour blameless, and he who indulges in doubtful things indulges in fact in unlawful things, just as a shepherd who pastures his flock round a preserve will soon pasture them in it. Beware, every king has a preserve, and the things Allah has declared unlawful are His preserves. Beware, in the body there is a flesh; if it is sound, the whole body is sound, and if it is corrupt, the whole body is corrupt, and behold, it is the heart."

[Al-Bukhari & Muslim]

REFLECTION

  • Everyone know in their hearts when they indulge in righteous dealings and when they commit sins.
  • What Allah has made lawful is distinctively clear from what he has forbidden and this is often confirmed by our hearts.
  • Avoid matters of doubt that could lead to ambiguity. This will save your dignity and honour.
  • Ensure that your source of livelihood is Halaal. Make money legally, eat food lawfully.
  • The heart is an intellectual source of control to the body. If the heart is in shape, the body will be totally transformed positively.
  • Beware of minor sins which we often take as trivial. The adverse effect of sins is that it hardens and corrupts the heart.
  • If the heart is sound, strong and full of iman, it will find it easier for the body to execute good deeds and abstain from evil.

CONCLUSION

If we care about our heart, we will be more sensible. If we keep our hearts pure and in shape, we will be more responsible. It is highly recommended to keep to self accountability and remembrance of Allah. For in the remembrance of Allah does the heart find tranquility.
