In This Ramadan, Do Not be One of the Losers
Behold O Brethren! Some people aspired to reach this blessed month of Ramadan crushing their goals but could not. Amongst them are those who fell ill, who’s menstrual period sets in and those who got distracted along the line. These set of people often feel they’ve lost a bulk of time and can’t catchup. If you find yourself here, do not lose hope nor despair of attaining Allah’s blessings through the remainder days ahead. You’re not yet a loser in this state, for the real loser is one who fails in earning Allah’s forgiveness at the end of Ramadan.
The Prophet. sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ascended the Minbar and said: “Aameen, Aameen, Aameen.” It was said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, you ascended the pulpit and said, “Aameen, Aameen, Aameen.” He said: “Jibreel came to me and said, ‘If Ramadan comes and a person is not forgiven, he will enter Hell and Allah will cast him far away. Say Aameen.’ So I said Aameen.” [Al-Albaani: Hasan Saheeh]
In another narration, Jibril said: may the wrath of Allah be upon the one who witnessed Ramadan but failed to earn the forgiveness of Allah. And the prophet peace be upon him said: Ameen!
So beloved brothers and sisters, the days of Ramadan are hastily passing by. Do not become a Loser!
- A loser is the one who witnessed Ramadan and didn’t earn Allah’s pardon.
- A loser is one who’s despaired of Allah’s mercy.
- A loser is one who let’s time pass by procrastinating good deeds.
- A loser is the one who loses the reward of his fasting to mere hunger and thirst.
- A loser is the one whose tongue fails in the remembrance of Allah but engaged in lies, gossip and backbiting.
- A loser is one who is blessed with wealth but fails to spend it generously.
- A loser is one who lets Ramadan slide without being reformed to become a better Muslim.
Be a Winner by investing the rest of your days and nights in deeds that will earn the pleasure of Allah. May Allah save me and you from joining the league of losers. Ameen!
