Bit by bit, they’re chipping away at our heritage
We said “ Never Again!” and we don’t fight!….Didn’t we mean it ?

Bit by bit they’re chipping away at our heritage….Not only did UNESCO adopt a resolution to deny Jewish history on Temple Mount in 2016, a few days ago, it took yet another step denying Jewish rights to Israel, by denying the nearly 4,000-year history of the Cave of the Patriarchs.
Jews have been persecuted incessantly throughout time and still in the 21st century, we’re caught yet again in a cycle of growing anti-semitism and intense hatred. Not even the high numbers of Jews making Aliyah will help provide a secure life. The Mount Temple crisis is only the beginning of a campaign denying the history of the Jewish people, a campaign whose final purpose is to, well - eliminate the Jewish state.
Why are we letting this happen? We said “ Never Again”….Didn’t we mean it? It’s a warning sign that calls to reassess who we are as a nation, what we currently stand for, what we would like to stand for, and how we can accomplish this.
Throughout the generations, the leaders of the Jewish people — from the most orthodox to the most secular — have stressed that our salvation, and even mere survival depend only on our unity. Surely helpful, however no amount of technology, military force or utilities can be in our place of our unity.

When was the last time we were as “One man with one heart”…?
Israel became a nation when all members of the Early Jews committed to unite “as one man with one heart.” Immediately after Israel was commanded to be “a light unto nations,” meaning to pass on the secret of their unity.
We rise and fall by the power of our unity. For this reason, when we are united, the world justifies us as a nation, as a people, as a group. When we are apart, in consequence they loath our mere existence and are incapable to justify us as a nation. Rather, wishing to reclaim the land and disperse the Jews.
“The prime defense against calamity is love and unity. When there are love, unity, and friendship within Israel, no calamity can come over them.”

The condition - Love of others
Rav Ashlag wrote, “It is upon the Israeli nation to qualify itself and all the people of the world to develop until they take upon themselves that sublime work of love of others”….Why? Because, continues Ashlag, the Israeli nation was fashioned as “a sort of gateway by which the sparks of love of others would shine upon the whole of the human race the world over.”
British journalist and historian Paul Johnson wrote, “At a very early stage in their collective existence the Jews believed they had detected a divine scheme for the human race, of which their own society was to be a pilot.”
People who are not consciously aware that Jews have been fashioned as a gateway for humanity’s better future, this gut feeling they have dictates their thoughts, actions and expectations.
And this gut expectation is the cause for anti-semitism, BDS movements, bomb threats, vandalism, expulsions, terror & killings, denial of Jewish heritage etc…
We are the only nation whose fate is in its own hands. Indeed, we rise and fall by our willingness to be a light of unity unto nations. If we decide to “take upon ourselves that sublime work of love of others” and thus become “a light unto nations,” we are secured. And if we to choose to remain segregated and separated by our Jewish differences and divisions, we might just see yet another round of ruin in the Land of Israel.
