DigiLaw is a legal ed-tech startup with the goal of bridging the knowledge gap between digital technology and the law.We organise regular online classes, free and paid, on several aspects of law and technology, for lawyers and law students. We also embark on research projects into trending law and technology issues. If you’re dissatisfied with the content and approach of legal education today, you should consider working with us.

We’re recruiting to fill the roles of Director of Career Advancement and Chief Research Officer. Applicants are expected to have a legal background, or currently be enrolled in a law programme. The job description for both roles can be found below:

DIRECTOR OF CAREER ADVANCEMENT

- Based on insights provided from data collected, develop an outline of classes to organise for a given period.

- Collaborate with Chief Data Analyst in developing insights about content of classes based on learner preferences

- Seek out qualified facilitators to teach online classes in line with learner expectations

- Coordinate online classes, from registration, payment, and post-class management.

- Collaborate with facilitators in converting class content into online MOOC

- Coordinate with partners of the company on the publishing of MOOCs.

- Any other responsibility as defined by the Head of Operations towards the goal of providing online legal education at the lowest cost possible, to the widest audience reachable.

CHIEF RESEARCH OFFICER

- Based on insights provided from data processed, develop an outline of research projects to be embarked on

- Collaborate with Chief Data Analyst in developing insights about the content of research projects, based on audience expectations

- Break down research project into component parts and assign to Research Associates, defining expectations, work standards, and deadlines

- Review and research project meets the expected standards.

- Collaborate with Head of Operations in publishing and distribution of research project

NOTE: These roles are unpaid for now as the company focuses on gaining traction and acquiring funds for rapid scale-up. You will however receive a stake in the company, the opportunity to work with a team reshaping the future of legal education, alongside other benefits.
