I’ll join you in this challenge Jen. I want to be on this journey of ‘less screen time, more life time’.
I do think there’s a lot to be said for great apps and platforms that really enrich my life offline (REVL obviously, but also Google maps (getting places), Uber (same), BBC Weather (for when you’re going out) and of course, Instagram (kidding!).
But it’s the work utility apps that are making me guilty of this phone addiction. I think my kids die a little inside when they see their dad replying to email, Slack, Whatsapp or a text instead of playing Qwirkle, going on a bike ride or taking them to the park.
Trying to fight the good fight for my kids is as important to me as reducing screen time for my mental health.
So what do we do here? What are you suggesting as a course of action? I’m ready to try it!
