Digix Dev Update — 3 January 2018 — Code Freeze, Overview for 1st half of 2018 plans

Nope, not kidding. The entirety of the DGX 2.0 application and code is officially frozen and submitted for review by our security auditors. The auditors had already began their review early December and came back with a draft audit report on the first part of the audit (the libraries) before the end of year holiday. We then made the relevant bug fixes highlighted from the report and will have it published for the community once finalized.

From here forward, we await a full audit of DGX 2.0, which could take up to 30–45 calendar days.

Updated Tech Roadmap available within 24 hours at https://digix.global/assets/pdf/roadmap.pdf

  • Status : All completed.

DGX 2.0 will be the first to create a full public, on chain solution to physical assets being represented as crypto assets on the blockchain. Anyone connected to the internet will be able to fully audit, verify and track the entire life cycle of any physical assets that has gone through the Proof of Asset Protocol at Digix.

What are we busy with in the Interim?

New hires in January:

We have begun expanding. We are adding 2 new hires to the team come end of January with a new UI/UX Brand Manager and a Core Developer to the team. As we are edging closer to the launch, we are ramping up expertise on all faucets of the business to encompass the marketing, user experience as well as beefing up the Technology Team in Digix. Stay tuned for their introductions.

General overview of 2018 and what to expect for first half of 2018

Tasks for Q1 2018:

Q1 : January to March

  • Launch of DGX 2.0 marketplace in beta mode
  • Rework of DigixDAO governance for new regulatory frameworks
  • Rebranding of our site and logo
  • Community push on events Ethereum SG and into Japan
  • General overview of Digix Meetup to be done at Ethereum Singapore

Come Q1 of 2018, we will be seeking regulatory feedback for the reworked DigixDAO and our plans. Due to the rapidly changing regulatory framework, any progress in the DAO or proposal mechanism would be dependent on some form of regulatory clarity or update.

Q2 : April to June

  • Testing of DigixDAO governance contracts
  • Launch of a beta version where proposals can be tested
  • Subsequent improvements and fixes to DGX 2.0 marketplace to improve client parameters

Happy new year all and we look forward to a great year ahead!
