MAPS.ME apps for iOS and Android have been updated to include a new smart search that understands queries even if they are misspelled. Moreover, finding hotels by rating and price has been made easier.

Now MAPS.ME understands queries with typos. The feature will be particularly helpful in unfamiliar cities — for instance, when a traveler wants to find the way to a local attraction or a bar recommended by a friend. Directions and names are often given verbally, and people cannot always accurately reproduce them in writing. But now, even if there are one or two misspells in the name of a street, attraction, hotel or other facility, the application still understands what is typed.

Plus, now it is easier than ever to choose a hotel in MAPS.ME through both user rating and price filters. Rooms are found based on the assessments of hotel guests, as well as price range information from Booking.com. There is also the option to search for hotels both nearby and in another city in advance, making it simple to find a good yet inexpensive hotel near the Colosseum directly on MAPS.ME.

In the updated version, users also gained the ability to adjust the font size on the map. It is no longer necessary to zoom into an area on the map every time you want to see what is written there, instead users can just increase the font size in the application settings one time and that’s it.
