MAPS.ME Now Shows All Subway Routes in Japan

Subway routes are now available for 22 more cities, including Tokyo, Kobe, Kyoto, Nagoya, Osaka, Sapporo. Before this update routes have been available in Yokohama, Sendai, Hiroshima and Fukuoka. MAPS.ME now features offline subway directions with via point in 146 cities worldwide, including all cities in Japan that have subway systems. The app also suggests interesting places and activities within walking distance, including attractions, cafes and restaurants, and Viator.com tours and trips.

The new MAPS.ME version will help you reach your destination using subway in 124 cities around the world. The app shows the fastest route including the walking time and time in transit. For a more complex route, a via point can add be added. Such a route can have several subway and walking segments.

MAPS.ME also features Discovery option which will help users find the nearest attractions in a town they visit or discover something new in a well known city. With a tap on the Discovery button, the app will display a selection of interesting places within 2 kilometers, including the closest attractions or the closest venues (cafes, restaurants, bars, etc.). The feature even works offline.

The updated MAPS.ME versions are already available in the App Store and Google Play.
