What tops up your light?!

As a recently turned 21 year old there is so much in this big bad world that I can not wait to explore. I have always admired people who are super bloggers and can eloquently write things that inspire, inform and reflect about all the amazing things about the world. So as a beginner, I am super excited to get my first blog out there and tell you what I really think!!

Studying at as ‘mature aged’ student.. ha. because apparently being older that 19 instantly makes ‘old’ in the uni world, I honestly can say that I love being back learning. There is something honestly magical about learning again. Yes, at times, things can seem very stressful but I know that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

I have spend the last two years travelling the entire european continent. yep. 2 years away from sunny Australia exploring so many wonderful cultures… and eating delicious food!! During this time I worked as a teachers assistant in a school in the UK. It was during a rainy, cold english morning when I begun to really question what I wanted to do with my life. That same morning, sitting on a tiny chair, snuggled next to 1of the 4 heaters in the classroom, helping a student read. He light up like a light bulb when he finally figured out how to read a “tricky” word that he had spent the last 2 minutes trying to spell out!!!

From that moment my heart warmed and I knew my passion was to continue to see light bulbs flicker in my classroom as more and more little minds begin to understand what this big crazy world has in store for them.

  1. My family. The 5 members of my family (Mum, Dad, Brother Will, Little sister Gaby) are the reason I am who I am. Thankful every day that I swam fast enough to end up in this lucky family.
  2. I have a fur baby, Peppa. Yes, all crazy dog lady title are relavent.
  3. Bartending is what I do “when not study” — Not going to lie. I can make a mean cocktail (ha. I might even write a blog post on all the crazies that I encounter every weekend!)
  4. HUGE passion for health & wellness. I believe everyone is able to live a happy and healthy lifestyle, they just need a person (me) to help kick start it.
  5. SNAP CHAT. I have a problem. Some times my inner Kardasian takes over and I think I’m all famous and start videoing every moment in my day… SOS!
  6. the gym. sweaty, hot, mess = my normal daily descriptions before I jump in to have a shower. My love for the gym also costs me alot of money on dry shampoo.
  7. People. all people. What I really enjoy about life is people. The crazy, the funny, the sad, the ‘golden stars’, the friends, the others… People are what gets me up every morning and knowing I get to learn something new form someone different every day excites me.

So there we have it. 7 of my favourite loves in life. I could have seriously gone on… and on.. and on.. because honestly life is awesome and I am so thankful to be here breathing.
