Community Leader Dr. Pablo Rodriguez Endorses James Diossa for General Treasurer

On Wednesday May 13, 2022, philanthropist and community organizer Dr. Pablo Rodriguez endorsed James Diossa’s campaign for General Treasurer. Dr. Rodriguez, an OB/GYN, previously served as the Medical Director of Planned Parenthood of Rhode Island, Chairman of the Women & Infants Health Care Alliance, and the President and CEO of Women’s Care, Inc., where he also practiced medicine. On James’ candidacy, Dr. Rodriguez issued the following statement:

James Diossa has always been a leader that is in touch with the needs of his community. During his time as a City Councilman and Mayor in Central Falls, James was a familiar face in community spaces. People knew him, and felt like they could come to him. He was accessible and no issue was too small. Throughout that time, James showed time and again that he is a thoughtful and principled leader. Relevant today more than ever, James has been a tireless advocate for women’s rights. It is one of his core values as a person and as a leader. As our next General Treasurer, he will be a strong voice not only for the rights and freedoms of our women, but for all Rhode Islanders.

Dr. Rodriguez co-founded the RI Latino Political Action Committee and Latino Public Radio.
