Hey, Beloved Reader!

Let’s chat about Chapter 3 of “The Magic of Thinking Big,” where we learn about “Building Confidence and Destroy Fear.” This chapter is all about feeling good about ourselves and not letting fear hold us back. So, let’s break it down in super easy terms!

The author says fear is like a big wall that stops us from doing awesome things.

When we face something tough, fear can make us freeze like a statue. But just hoping things will get better isn’t enough. We get to take action to make good stuff happen!

Here’s the trick: Figure out what scares us, and then do something about it. Here are some examples the author shares:

Fear 1: Feeling like we don’t look cool.
What to do: Change it up! Get a haircut, treat ourselves to a fancy face wash, make our shoes shiny, and keep our clothes clean. We don’t always need new clothes; we can just take care of what we have.

Fear 2: Worrying about losing a special customer.
What to do: Work extra hard to make them happy again. Show them we care and fix any mistakes if you do.

Fear 3: Scared of failing a big test.
What to do: Use that scared feeling to study harder. Turn our worry time into study time and give it our best shot!

Fear 4: Feeling helpless about things we can’t change.
What to do: Focus on helping others who are feeling scared too. Maybe we can pray if that’s something we believe in.

Fear 5: Scared of getting hurt.
What to do: Keep our minds busy with fun stuff. Play games with friends, watch a funny movie, or dance around to our favourite tunes.

Fear 6: Worrying about what others think of us.
What to do: Make sure our plans are solid, then go for it! People will always have opinions, but we know what’s best for us.

Fear 7: Feeling anxious about money or buying something big.
What to do: Do our homework, think it over, and make a decision we believe in. Trusting ourselves is key!

Fear 8: Feeling shaky around people.
What to do: Remember, everyone is just like us. Nobody’s perfect, so we shouldn’t feel small around others.

Now, let’s talk about two simple things to feel more confident:

Deposit only positive thoughts in your memory bank: Before bedtime, think about all the good things in your life. Be thankful for family, friends, good health, and a cosy home. Remember our successes and why we’re glad to be alive!

withdraw only positive thoughts from your memory bank: Don’t let negative thoughts take over. When a bad memory pops up, focus on the good stuff instead. Turn our minds away from the yucky thoughts.

Here are 5 steps to boost our confidence:

Take action: Doing something about our fears is the best way to beat them. Sitting still just makes fear bigger!

Stay positive: Fill our heads with good thoughts and don’t let the bad ones take over.

Put people in the right place: Remember, everyone’s just a person just like you.

Do what feels right: Trust our gut and do what we know is good and true.

Act confident: Make eye contact, walk with a bounce in your step, speak up, and flash a big smile! These little things can make a big difference!

So there you have it! Chapter 3 of “The Magic of Thinking Big” is like a guidebook to feeling more confident and not letting fear boss us around. Remember, taking action, staying positive, and believing in ourselves can help us achieve amazing things!

I hope you enjoy this reading.

see you soon…
