30 years ago, Deepak Chopra demonstrated the power of the mind with a string and a ring in an Oprah Winfrey show.

It was an electrifying display of how the mind and body are closely connected. How the mind controls the body.

Even after almost 30 years, it takes my breath away whenever I see this.

Today’s Problems are Majorly Mental

Today’s success metrics are based on winning the rat race.

Even if you win, or try to win, the consequences are devastating.

A successful person almost always trades his mental health for making it. Poor sleep, irritability, unhealthy family relations, lack of happiness, and a continuous state of anxiety are common.

I was there and saw first-hand how toxic it can get.

I felt tired inside but faked a macho appearance.

Even when I spoke to my child, I spoke in a tone that scared her. Pointless arguments with my wife were common.

And I always carried a burden of worries.

Mental Problems Create Physical Diseases

The mind controls the body.

All this stress comes to haunt you in many ways.

Meditation can help cure a large number of health problems:

  • Anxiety
  • Asthma
  • Cancer
  • Chronic pain
  • Depression
  • Heart disease
  • High blood pressure
  • Irritable bowel syndrome
  • Sleep problems
  • Tension headaches

It starts to slowly damage your body, and when you are aware of it, it’s usually too late.

Then one day you feel dizzy or get a persistent headache that takes you to a doctor. And he orders a range of tests.

When the test reports arrive, the doctor breaks the bad news. Diabetes. High blood sugar. Can be worse if you don’t take urgent steps now.

Can be even fatal.

You need rest. You need to de-stress. You need to slow down.

Is it really possible to do that? Can you stop chasing the ever-elusive success?

Or is it going to create more anxiety?

These Create Poor Performance at Home & Office

Poor health coupled with a highly stressed mental state affects your performance in the office and at home.

You find it difficult to focus, and impossible to keep your calm.

This, in turn, creates more anxiety, and higher stress.

You fall into a vicious cycle.

Can you take control of your life and get out before you reach the point of no return?

Take Control of Your Mind Now

There is a secret top performers know and employ to be in the game for a long time.

Now, we will discuss this secret.

Top achievers like Steve Jobs, Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, Arianna Huffington, Tim Ferris, Oprah Winfrey, Jennifer Lopez, and Bill Gates vouched for it. Many other top celebrities, business leaders, and sportspersons practice it every day.

Massive research was done on its benefits and top medical institutions like Mayo Clinic vouch for its efficacy. Hundreds of research papers were published in scientific journals. Had I known it earlier, I could have avoided years of suffering.

After all, the process of meditation is so simple and effortless. And it is the best way to control your mind.

How to Start Today

Yes, you can start meditation today.

You just need a quiet place to sit down.

Settle yourself comfortably and close your eyes. Just focus on your breath for some time. Thoughts will come and go, and that’s all right. There’s no need to force yourself to ‘empty your mind.’

You can silently chant a mantra, or a phrase, for about 5 minutes on the first day.

As long as you’re comfortable, you can continue. You can also set a timer on your mobile for 5 minutes.

Continue practicing it every day, gradually increasing the time. The benefits will accrue over time.

After years of practicing meditation, I lost a lot. I lost stress, anger, negativity, irritability, anxiety, nervousness, envy, fear, lack of focus, high blood pressure, poor immunity, and other mental and physical shortcomings.

Do not try to meditate. Trying to meditate is the biggest mistake people make. During meditation, just do nothing. It is very important to do absolutely nothing during meditation.

Just do nothing for 10 minutes a day and almost all your mental and physical troubles will leave you.

Why don’t you start meditation today?
