Hosting a party is a task that involves a number of activities and considerations that are to be kept in mind by the host. Choosing the Cheese

Selecting the cheese is one of the important tasks to host a cheese and wine party. It might be confusing for the amateurs to determine which kind of cheeses are to be chosen out of the clutter for the party. 1. Buy certain amount of the fresh cheeses, the cheeses that are not aged. Some good quality mozzarella and goat cheese would be very suitable for the purpose as they are appreciated by the most of the people.

2. Also make sure to keep some of the hard, salted as well as aged cheeses. The best option that comes to the mind in this regard is Parmigiano-Reggiano which is a good addition to the party.

3. Remember to get at least one or two blue cheese for example Gorgonzola or Classic Maytag that would serve the purpose very efficiently.

4. If you are experimental in nature then you can do that by taking same type of cheese made by different companies. The difference will surprise and even can shock you as well.

Choosing the Wine

Even if you do not want to spend a lot, keep at least a single brilliant wine such as Champagne. There are many people who like fruity wines, so have some of them. Light red wine of a good quality like Pinot Noir can be a nice option. You can also add some bold red wine such as Cabernet Sauvignon to the list.

Serving Tips

Always remember to serve the cheeses in the existing room temperature. Also keep separate knives for each one and arrange them in an order such as from strong to light or vice versa and not at random. Take out the wine from the refrigerator at least thirty minutes before serving as they taste best when a little worm. Arrange some accompaniments in form of fresh fruits such as dates, apples, fresh cherry, figs, plumes etc.
