I fundamentally disagree with your assertion that the “rational” is in any way separate from the “emotional.” Perspective is empirical and subjective and the “emotional” is how we connect what we deem as “logical” to the social fallout. So when you say that the rational gets extrapolated from the emotional upon the organization of arguments I read that as justification of YOUR perspective as rational so that you can dismiss challenging perspectives as “emotional” and not worth your time. Which is pretty emotional. Political Correctness is the act of including people and not marginalizing them and is therefore very important.
