While I agree that the ACA is not a progressive plan and that single payer is the only real workable solution, I’m also aware that it isn’t going to happen anytime soon.
That’s part of the difference between the two candidates. Clinton already knows what can actually be accomplished. She also has the support in both houses that Sanders lacks. Not only does he currently lack support, he’s seemingly uninterested in even building any. Instead, he insults the very people who make up the brand who’s banner he’s currently running under.
Yes, as a group, congress is loathed. But turns out, when you get down to it, people like their own Congress Critter a whole lot. So where is this support for his agenda going to come from?
Revolutions don’t start at the top, unless we’re talking kings and dictators. In a democratic republic you have to work within the system to change it. That’s what Clinton can do that Sanders can’t.
