#365DaysOfWriting Day 60: Darkness
In a world where everyone seems to be searching for the light at the end of the tunnel, have you considered remaining in the dark?
Is darkness really as bad as everyone makes it out to be? Sometimes, isn’t it nice to just be in the dark? You could be lost and no one would be able to find you — sometimes, isn’t that just what we need: to be able to remain lost in ourselves without any interruptions from anyone else?
In the darkness, you don’t have to take the trouble of hunting for the keys to open the right door. There are no doors in the darkness. You don’t need to look for a way out, you don’t need to search for light, for in darkness, there is no way out.
You could cry in peace. You don’t have to hide your tears from the world. In darkness, you do not need to wipe your tears away. You don’t need to seek comfort when you are in the dark, for darkness is comfort.
Why do people struggle so much to fight the dark? Don’t they realize that within the darkness lies a beautiful place of peace? For a moment, why don’t you pause and relish the darkness — after all, how can you know the light without knowing the dark?
