Day 324: Ganga Aarti #365DaysOfWriting

Today, I got a chance to be a part of the Ganga Aarti in the evening-time. I am not a religious person and every time there is a pooja at home, I find myself running away from there or wishing there was some way I could get out.

So, obviously, when I was informed that we are going to witness the Ganga Aarti in the evening, it did not thrill me! But I was in for a lovely surprise! The atmosphere there, despite the crowds of people, is so pious, so calm, I think it was the first time I felt a direct connect with God. I think it was the first moment when I consciously experienced a spiritual connect with the Divine Being. I also got a chance to do the Ganga Aarti and then get my friends to be a part of it, and that whole experience was just one of pure bliss!

This is definitely going to be one of the major highlights of Rishikesh!
