When envisioning what a ‘Dizzy Demon’ should look like, countless ideas emerged, but our primary goal was always clear: to create something entirely new and unique within the Dizzy universe. To bring this vision to life, we enlisted the expertise of renowned character designer Buck Lewis. Brainstorming
The initial stage of creating the Dizzy Demons involved exploring a wide range of ideas and concepts. The sketches here represent the raw, unfiltered creativity that fueled the design process. While many of these designs didn’t make it to the final collection, they played a crucial role in shaping the visual language and characteristics that define the Dizzy Demons. Each sketch offered unique traits and details, some of which were carried forward and refined in later iterations.
Dizzy Demon Minion
This section highlights the process of bringing these small but impactful characters to life. The early sketches were essential in capturing their playful nature, which became a cornerstone of their final design. By focusing on exaggerated expressions and quirky features, we were able to create Minions that are as endearing as they are mischievous.
Dizzy Demon Brawler
In our quest to define the muscle of the Dizzy Demons group, we focused on creating a character that exuded both power and menace. These concept sketches capture the evolution of the Brawler, from its more threatening and formidable initial designs to the more playful and approachable versions that emerged. The goal was to balance the character’s intimidating presence with a hint of humor, adding depth and personality to the Brawler’s final form.

The Dizzy Demons Commanders represent the pinnacle of power and authority within the Dizzy Demons hierarchy. Originally inspired by the concept of the nine deadly sins, these characters were designed to embody the darker aspects of the Dizzy world, each one personifying a particular sin through their appearance and demeanor. The concept drawings in this section delve into various interpretations of these sins, translating them into commanding figures who are as terrifying as they are captivating. Each Commander needed to not only stand out individually but also reflect the broader themes of chaos and control that define the Dizzy Demons.
