I agree with a lot of your points. A lot of the same people pushing the same content. It’s been challenging to curate new but high quality posts. The mobile experience is also very different than the desktop which is annoying.
As a reader, I like the views to recommends ratio. It helps gauge the value people found of the article.
As a writer, it’s a black box on how your content is served up to followers so I have no idea how to distribute the work. My most engaged post has more engagement on the Facebook post where I shared it than on Medium post itself which seems counterintuitive. I would’ve loved to have the conversation with readers on Medium and not on Facebook.
