Great article. “What should be an actual relationship is a brief exchange of goods”. It is worse than that as the exchange is “intermediated” with a marketing agency.
Influencer marketing should not be a service nor a business. Companies who are serious about thought leadership should just network and engage with opinion leaders (influencers) and talk about their value proposition. Should not do influencer “marketing” nor outsourcing content development.
