Dad in frames in frame- a celebration of the man we all love: Dad

Dads. They are a special thing. If you have a good one consider yourself blessed. As a daughter, he’s the first man you love. As a son, he is the man you look up to and want to emulate. He is your protector, your confidant. When mom is away, he lets you get away with things she never would have.

Today in society, dads often get a bad rap. On television they are sometimes portrayed as stupid, and incompetent. Sometimes they are portrayed as incapable of showing emotion, and vulnerability. It is unfair, and untrue.

Even though I didn’t grow up with a father in the home, I had examples of good men around me. I’ve seen the effects that a good father has on his children and family.

So to celebrate that, I sent out a model call for an ongoing project I’m working on. I’m documenting the relationships of fathers, with their children. It is a sweet, and sacred thing to be able to document intimate family relationships.

If you’d like to be a part of this project you can message me on the contact page or email me at write “Dad project” in the subject line.

Bobby, and little miss were some of my first muses for this project. I’ve known them for a little while now. She adores her dad, and they are a comedic force to be reckoned with. Between the laughs there were so many sweet moments. I’m glad they let me capture the tender and special bond between them.
