Lack of commitment can look a lot like lack of knowledge/confidence.

The former is toxic, the latter is temporary and normal.

I believe the same applies to interactions with the market/customers/partners. I wrote something about this here —

My premise is that commitment and shared risk (i.e. Skin in the game) get you more, better customers sooner than gimmicks and freebies.
