Just as Kevin McLaughlin, I also believe SAAS are a failed experiment, not only that, but more of a ghetto way to hustle people in the need for software.

To me this Ulysses’s app swindle, was particularly a cheap shot, one that robs you from being able to pay for your own cup of coffee on a recurring basis. I don’t know about all you Ulysses users and/or ex-users out there, but having to pay every month a round of coffee for the developers is not my thing, especially when I don’t drink that beverage to begin with, and more importantly, after I had already agreed to pay a premium price for their software.

But not all is a “lose-lose situation” in life. Apple gracefully issued me my $44.99 refund for the “Useless app”, and I’m more than happy to rub this on all of the Ulysses app developers for them to read. Spread the word that it can be done, it took me several e-mails to be honest, but sure enough I managed to take my Mac Dollars back from those flaky developers. I had bought my Useless app on June, so I’m alright with flaking on these soulless men.

Enjoy your coffee, just not at my expense anymore. Prost!
