Denying Climate Denial
Andrew Winston

How do most people respond to the problems of future risks, which may be small, of very large hazards? They buy insurance. Reframing the debate as one of insurance would be a lot more fruitful than the dead-end debates over how accurate the global climate models are or are not. I think you would find many climate “skeptics” willing to engage in such a debate, but it would require you to abandon the rhetoric of “climate denial” and certain catastrophe. Which, in case you haven’t noticed, isn’t working for you very well.
