The Canadian Association of Professional Speakers (CAPS) Foundation

A filmmaker who is associated with Magnificent Motion Picture Works, Douglas Vermeeren has released several films that are designed to help people achieve their professional and life goals. He is also an experienced public speaker who, as the CEO of Calgary’s High Profit Speaker, teaches other professional speakers how to be more profitable. Douglas Vermeeren holds active membership in the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers.

In addition to helping train and educate a range of Canadian keynote speakers, coaches, trainers, and facilitators, the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers (CAPS) supports a philanthropic arm that operates as the CAPS Foundation. The CAPS Foundation is dedicated to providing essential personal and financial support to CAPS members in times of need.

The principal divisions of the CAPS Foundation are the Professional Speakers Benefit Fund (PSBF) and the Speakers Listening Peer Support Program. The PSBF allows CAPS members to apply for monetary funds in the form of emergency PSBF grants. Speakers Listening is led by a team of trained peer support volunteers who draw upon their own experiences to help members through family crises, emotional upheavals, and other personal struggles.
