How Can Jet.com Be The Lowest Price

The idea behind Jet.com is that for a subscription fee, you can buy items at the lowest possible price. It would have been fine if they stopped there, but instead they take it a step further with the pricing algorithm. When you buy product X, you also get discounts on products Y and Z. This means that originally I wasn’t getting the lowest prices on products. Why would I pay them $50 to not get the lowest price on products? Can the prices drop because its cheaper to ship 2 items in a box than in 2 boxes? I thought shipping was free at most stores.

I like that Jet values the item return option and offers a discount to sell your return option. The people who receive damaged merchandise might regret that discount.

I hope I’m missing something or that Jet improves its lowest pricing philosophy.
