Different questions are being raised by fans and followers of Dr John Watts are flooding his series of hugely popular educational videos with queries related to hair transplants and hair growth issues.

In this educational video, noted dermatologist & trichologist and one of the Best Hair Transplant Surgeons in Hyderabad Dr John Watts answers select shortlisted questions of viewers related to hair growth, hair hall and hair transplant. He has performed over 2000+ hair transplant surgeries successfully.

Mahesh K: Sir, how do we use hair fibre on my scalp? I am facing a hair thinning problem one year after undergoing a hair transplant. I also wonder if there would be a problem with hair fibre due to excessive sweating. Please explain.

In his response, Dr John Watts tells Mahesh K that anyone facing hair thinning problems can wear hair fibre. Whether you have undergone a hair transplant or not, doesn’t matter. If anyone is facing a hair thinning issue, can use it.

“Since you have hair thinning issues after a hair transplant, you too can use hair fibre to fill the gaps or use it in the donor area if harvesting of hair grafts has led to hair thinning,” said Dr John Watts.

While answering his other question on sweating, he said there are chances of the hair fibre coming out if it is used excessively. “To avoid such an embarrassing scenario, one can apply ‘Stick on Sprays’. They are available online for purchase also. However, it is important that one should not try for the extra thickness of hair fibre as it may backfire,” advised Dr John Watts.

Prasad Chaudhary M: Sir, Can I combine Finasteride + Minoxidil solution at home for use on my scalp? Can I use daily 2ml of Finasteride + Minoxidil twice a day? Will it work? Is it safe? Please explain.

In his response, Dr John Watts tells Prasad Chaudhary M that he need not do any home mixing of the two topical lotions for hair growth as several brands offer readymade mix solutions for use. “You should not experiment by mixing the two lotions at home. They need to be scientifically done. It could be risky,” warned Dr John Watts.

While listing some popular brands that offer the combo solutions of Finasteride and Minoxidil, Dr John Watts named Mintop Gain (available in 5% & 10% variations) and Tugain lotion (available with 0.1% Finasteride lotion with Minoxidil) for purchase.

“However, you should not be using these drugs on self-prescription. Only a qualified dermatologist should prescribe their usage,” advised Dr John Watts.

While explaining their usage, Dr John Watts suggested that initially for the first 15 days, one can use 1ml per day. “After that one can use 1 ml in the morning and another 1 ml in the night for better results,” said Dr John.
