Most of our money is created in private banks. The Federal Reserve, which is a private corporation, oversees this process.

Printed/coined money is only about ten percent of the money in the system.

All money, everywhere, is created out of thin air. We and others once were on the gold standard, but there simply isn’t enough money on the planet to serve our needs, i.e. a burgeoning population. The gold standard wasn’t much anyway.

We need new forms of money, for sure, but not the ones you may be thinking about.
