My teacher says that meditation is not a band aid you put on your life; it’s a way to train your crazy monkey-mind. You can use so many everyday situations as supports for this mind training — waiting in line for coffee, or watching how your mind reacts to little annoyances like a missed call, some lost keys, or a bad Internet connection. Even if all you did was take one breath every day with full awareness, you’d be more in touch with your mind than most people are.
