Detective Walsh leaned back in his chair, eyeing Alex. The room felt like a pressure cooker, an air of confession lingering. The young man shifted uncomfortably, the gravity of his actions weighing heavily on his shoulders.

“Alex, you’ve got to understand the severity of this situation. Your sister and you are in deep waters. We need the truth. No more games.”

“I’m telling the truth, Detective,” Alex mumbled, eyes fixed on the cold, gray table.

Detective Walsh sighed, running a hand through his tired eyes. “Let’s cut through the fog, Alex. We’ve got evidence, witnesses, and now your confession. But we need the whole story. Why’d you take Tommy to the warehouse? What happened between him and Emily?”

Alex hesitated, swallowing hard. The truth, heavy on his tongue, seemed impossible to utter.

“Alex, I know this isn’t easy, but we can’t help your sister unless we know everything.”

He took a deep breath, his gaze meeting Detective Walsh’s stern eyes. “We took him there…
