Thanks for your comment, Tristan. I’m not sure your criticism is entirely fair. While I agree that this is not a scientific study, the population polling methodology is valid (ORC International is a well-respected polling firm) and it provides information we did not have before that can generate hypotheses for further study. If we had time and a grant we could conduct more scientific research in this area, and I hope that others do (I’d personally be willing to collaborate on this research).
